Special Interests: My passion has always been for patients, in all aspects of their lives. From delivering babies, to adolescents, to grandparents and to those with addictions, I have always put my patients first, and enjoy advocating for those without a voice. I also love sharing my passion with students and enjoy teaching and educating.
Personal: I grew up in Cottage Grove in the Twin Cities metro area. I earned my bachelor of arts degree in biology, with an English minor, at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN, where I also was a thrower on the track team. I like to run half-marathons and compete in triathlons and enjoy watching my four kids (currently two sons ages 10 and 8, and two daughters ages 5 and 3) learn, grow and develop their own unique and amazing personalities. I also enjoy writing poetry, crafts, sports and water activities and have a closet fascination and drive for advocacy work, politics and public speaking. With Dr. Kurt DeVine, I have a podcast “The Addiction Connection”, which discusses all things addiction (and COVID-19) and is truly a passion project.
