Little Falls, MN– 1/15/25– St. Gabriel’s Hospital System, encompassing St. Gabriel’s Hospital, Family Medical Center, Little Falls Orthopedics, and Pierz and Randall clinics, announces the implementation of a mandatory masking policy for all patients entering its facilities. This policy, effective immediately, is a proactive measure to protect patients and staff from the current surge in respiratory illnesses.

“The recent increase in respiratory viruses in our community necessitates this important step,” said Steve Smith, CEO. “By requiring all patients to wear masks, we aim to significantly reduce the transmission of these illnesses within our facilities and ensure the safety of everyone.”

The policy requires all patients, regardless of symptoms, to wear a mask upon entering any St. Gabriel’s Hospital System facility. Masks will be available at entrances for those who do not have one. Visitors are also required to wear masks.

This policy will remain in effect until further notice. St. Gabriel’s Hospital System will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates as needed. The health and well-being of our patients and staff remains our top priority.

The Family Medical Center offers a walk in clinic for convenience and St Gabriel’s Hospital provides emergency care.

  • Severe or persistent chest pain
  • Worsening symptoms after several days
  • Signs of dehydration (decreased urination, dizziness)
