CHI St. Gabriel’s Health Breaks Ground on Expansion of Family Medical Center

Fifteen thousand square foot expansion and renovation to focus on primary care and specialty services.

LITTLE FALLS, MINNESOTA (NOVEMBER 28, 2018) – CHI St. Gabriel’s Health is expanding to better meet the needs of the Little Falls area community. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, and construction is currently underway.

The extensive expansion and renovation project will add 15,280 square feet of space for the Family Medical Center and is expected to open in Spring 2020.

“We are pleased to officially break ground this project which will change the way in which we provide quality, compassionate health care to our community,” said Rhonda Buckallew, Administrator, Family Medical Center. “We’re building for the future, not only for our friends and neighbors who we serve, but also for the next generation of providers.”

The expansion includes the addition of twenty-seven exam rooms, three additional new procedure rooms, and expanded space for consultations. These increases will support both primary care and specialty providers.

A major focus of the expansion will be the introduction of a walk-in clinic for same day health care needs, easier access so SGH retail pharmacy, and the incorporation of additional space for patient and wellness education.

Designed to be a state-of-the-art health care facility, plans include a focus on patient safety, and privacy.  Funded completely by private entities, no public dollars are being used in the project.

“Beyond the beautiful new décor, modern features, and enhanced security, the expansion will elevate our level of patient care and reinforce our commitment to the community,” stated Buckallew. “This project solidifies our vision: to create the best health care experience by igniting the spirit for superior care and service.”

Buckallew continued, “With entrances moved, patient rooms moved, and the overall inconvenience that comes with construction, we ask for the community’s patience as we complete this project and create a better health and wellness facility for all.”

CHI St. Gabriel’s Health strives to be better every day through a commitment to facilities, services, and people that align with the needs of the residents to improve the overall health of those they serve. For more information and to follow the progress of the project, please visit www.chistgabriels.com/bettereveryday.
